Travel Information

Getting Here

We recommend flying to Managua (Nicaragua) or Liberia (Costa Rica). We will have shuttle vans waiting to take our group to our hotel. There will be multiple shuttles arranged for our group and we aim to organize them at times convenient to the majority of our flight arrivals. There may be some waiting around, but we will be in touch about preferable flight options. The flight is not included in the cost of this retreat. Managua airport is under 3 hours from Playa Maderas and Liberia around 2 hours, however It includes crossing the border and going through customs.  If you prefer to arrange your own transportation to the hotel, we can help arrange this for you for an additional cost.

Weather

In late February and March, Playa Maderas, Nicaragua, experiences warm, dry weather, as this period falls within the dry season. You can expect:

  • Temperatures: Highs around 85-90°F (29-32°C) during the day and cooler lows of 70-75°F (21-24°C) at night.
  • Humidity: Moderate, but lower than during the rainy season, making it feel more comfortable despite the heat.
  • Rainfall: Minimal to none, as the dry season means sunny skies most days.
  • Water Temperature: Ideal for swimming, typically between 80-84°F (27-29°C).

This weather is perfect for outdoor activities like yoga, beach time, and surfing, but be sure to pack sun protection!
